Special Education Pre-K Teacher Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement individualized educational plans for children with special needs or disabilities, tailored to their specific learning requirements

- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all children

- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting children with special needs

- Conduct ongoing assessment and observation to monitor the progress of children with special needs and adapt teaching strategies as needed

- Provide support and guidance to classroom assistants and other team members in working with children with special needs

- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices and provide support for children with special needs in the regular classroom setting

- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure the best possible support for children with special needs

Are you a compassionate and dedicated educator with a Florida State Pre-K to Grade 3 certification, as well as a passion for supporting young children with special needs or disabilities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Special Education Pre-K Teacher immediately.

We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic Special Education Pre-K Teacher to join our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of special education principles, experience working with young children with special needs, and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the individual needs of each child.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or related field

- Florida State Pre-K to Grade 3 certification

- Experience working with young children with special needs or disabilities in an early childhood setting

- Strong understanding of special education principles, individualized education plans, and early childhood development

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children with special needs

- Commitment to promoting inclusive practices and creating a supportive and welcoming environment for all children
