PRE-K: SPECIAL EDUCATION
The Prekindergarten Exceptional Student Education Program offers a variety of program models and options for children from ages three through five who have been identified with a specific disability.

Early Education that Makes an IMPACT.
What We Offer:
IMPACT is dedicated to providing early developmental education to all students, focusing on nurturing their unique abilities and needs. Our diverse student population includes individuals with various challenges, such as autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairments, developmental delays, dual sensory impairments, emotional and behavioral disabilities, intellectual disabilities, language impairments, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments, specific learning disabilities, speech impairments, traumatic brain injuries, and visual impairments.
To create a supportive and enriching learning environment, we offer a range of related services, including transportation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, orientation and mobility training, speech/language therapy, and nursing services. We aim to empower each child, fostering their development and stimulating their educational journey.
Specially designed instruction and related services are provided per an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and are based on each child’s unique needs, as related to present levels of academic achievement and functional performance. The type, frequency, duration and location of specially designed instruction and related services are indicated on the IEP.
The importance of Pre-K is to get your child ready for kindergarten. Education services are provided through daily classroom experiences that are intentionally planned to help develop skills that are important for success in kindergarten. We work on all areas of kindergarten readiness skills by providing them with opportunities to explore, discover, and grow through active learning experiences. Daily schedules and routines are established to help build structure within the day. The goal is to create a classroom community where children can learn how to build appropriate relationships with peers, learn to communicate effectively, increase adaptive/self-help skills to become independent, and acquire the preacademic skills they need to be successful in kindergarten.
